Tank Establishment of an Army Tank Brigade was now:

 Total Tanks in an Army Tank Battalion  58 Infantry Tanks
 Total Tanks in an Army Tank Brigade  178 Tanks
 Total personnel in an Army Tank Battalion  35 Officers
   547 Other Ranks

War Establishment of an Army tank Brigade remained unchanged during 1940. In April 1941 an HQ Squadron was authorized including a Fighting Group (with 4 instead of HQ HQ Armoured Brigade's 10), Reconnaissance and Admin Groups (III/1931/8a/4 wef 7 April 1941). At the same time Companies of Army Tank Battalions were redesignated Squadrons, and the Sections became Troops. The tank establishment of the Battalion was slightly changed (III/1931/33A/4 wef 7 April 1941).
