Colonel Toshishige Shoji


Colonel Toshishige Shoji was a Japanese Infantry Officer, born in Sendai, Japan.

He was promoted to rank of Colonel on 1 August 1939 and to rank of Major-General on 1 March 1944.

He assumed command of 230th Infantry Regiment on 1 April 1941 and took part in the Dutch East Indies Campaign as a commander of Shoji Detachment which landed on Java Island.

After that he assumed command of 2nd Depot Division on 23 March 1943 and became a Sendai District Commander on 31 March 1945.
