The Chronology of the Dutch East Indies includes the period between December 1st, 1941 - March 10th, 1942,
when all "significant" battles in the East Indies had come to the end.
I have, therefore, decided to expand this chronology with information, which
are not connected with the Dutch East Indies Campaign only, but also
includes other battlefields across the Pacific and Asia, which, that I
have to admit, always attract my attention, and I always like to read
books, documents or discussions about them.
By making this chronology, I was faced with several difficulties, one
of them was lack of info. I don't possess many books with details about
Philippines, Hong Kong or Malaya Campaigns (in fact none, which would
directly describe the campaign itself), therefore, I was here entirely
dependent on what I have found on the internet or was told by other
people, contributors of this website (THANKS TO ALL); as far as these
campaigns are concerned.
I have visited several pages, downloaded a couple of them, and used quite a
bit of their information for filling gaps on this chronology, especially for
those campaigns I had very little info or knowledge about it.
I don't recall right now names of all webmasters whose websites I used as sources for
this chronology, but still I would like to thank them all, including
several superb websites -- and if they ever visit this page do not
hesitate to mail me, as I will be more than honoured to put their
(your) name into the Credits section or link the page.
Of course, if you have any comments, found any mistakes (...as all human persons,
I also make mistakes sometimes...) or maybe have any additional info
which is missing here (I ALWAYS APPRECIATE HELP), don't hesitate to contact me.
I am sure we will agree somehow, and add your info to the chronology.
