Weather cancels all NATAF attacks except for 11 P-40's which bomb and strafe tanker off Split, leaving it burning. XII A Spt Cmd ftrs fly uneventful naval escort.

Tenth AF

In an attempt to knock out Japanese base from which ftrs are attacking ferrying operations, P-40's carrying 1000-lb bombs fly 4 strikes against Myitkyina. Following the bomb runs, the ftrs strafe AA positions. The attacks cause considerable damage to the base. MBs attack Meza railroad bridge, scoring hits on approaches but missing the structure. The bridge remains unusable due to damage caused by the 10 Oct strike.
