British Cunningham's (Conyngham's) Dragoons, or 'Inniskilling Dragoons', 1693

Q
Sirs,
I would like to ask a question about the regiment I served with during the last war, the 8th King's Royal Irish Hussars.
When they were raised in 1693 by Colonel Conyngham they were called Conyngham's Dragoons. Could you give me, if possible, full particulars of their uniform at this time?
Many thanks.
Joppe, G.L.D. E.P.M. de Maes Janssens
A
Cunningham's (Conyngham) Dragoons, or 'Inniskilling Dragoons' were raised in 1693 and reduced in 1713, but reformed again in 1715.
The details of the uniform are very scant indeed. Contemporary accounts just state that the uniform for 1693 was red, facings yellow. Officers’ lace silver.
However, Cannons Records give a description and with what we know about the fashion and style of the cavalryman's uniform of that day we have produced the following illustration of how your 8th Dragoon may have looked.
