The sleeping soldiers at the Resurrection,
Pulpit of William, Cagliari Cathedral



A sculptor known as Master William sculpted for the Cathedral of Pisa, between 1159 and 1162, the monumental pulpit, which remained in place until 1310. It was then dismantled and moved to Cagliari, Sardinia, by 1312.
